From Concept to Prototype to Production…GEP’s full-time engineering professionals within the United States and China will work closely with your staff, offering creative alternatives and solutions that will improve your quality and productivity - with a single point of contact and nearly round the clock service coverage.

CAD Drawings

Our engineering department can turn your physical model into a full CAD model or a set of 2D prints  and export the data directly to your CAD template. This allows your engineers to explain their needs without spending time sifting through websites and drawing complex prints. Our goal is to get your project off the ground quickly and efficiently.

Providing engineering coordination both in the United States and in China, our team of engineers will review the information to make sure that:

  • There is adequate information to quote
  • All the specifications are clearly detailed
  • Samples are sent if possible

We prefer to receive documents electronically because of the ease of distribution. We accept PRO E, CAD drawings, IGES files, Adobe, Gerber files as a ZIP.

Design & Development

GEP Source and Trade’s sales and engineering teams can work virtually or at your facility to assist in the design process. Regardless of location our engineers and project managers  bring the design and production expertise that comes from years of experience, and will assure a succesful development and production process for your products.

Rapid Prototypes

With an extensive component library, strong purchasing presence, and dedicated prototype team, our Engineering department is able to support prototype builds in a condensed time frame.

Program Managers

To support both prototypes and production launches, we have dedicated employees to coordinate the design, sampling, start-up, PPAP, and production requirements of all new products. These individuals also oversee Engineering modifications associated with revision changes to ensure your supply chain is not interrupted during product transition.
